Alan Oversby died following incident on Sunday, 24 May
Tributes are continuing to pour in for a rider who died following an incident at last weekend's Pre-TT Classic Road Races.
Sixty-eight-year-old Alan Oversby lost his life following an incident on the approach to Ballakeighan during the 400cc Race on Sunday, 24 May.
One of his fellow Pre-TT competitors, Harley Rushton has described Mr Oversby as an 'unsung icon' in racing and that it was 'always a privilege' to race against him.
Meanwhile, the organisers of the Manx Grand Prix, the Manx Motor Cycle Club, say they are 'deeply saddened' to learn of the 'tragic loss' of a competitor they describe as 'one of the most experienced and respected competitors in classic motorcycle racing.'
Furthermore, the organisation is extending its 'deepest condolences' to Mr Oversby's family and friends at this time.
Having made his debut at the Pre-TT Classic Road Races in 2005, Mr Oversby went on to take 16 race victories at the meeting on the Billown Course.
