Tributes pour in for Dan Kneen

Biking community "gutted" at loss

Tributes have been pouring in for Dan Kneen.

The Manx racer lost his life following an incident at Churchtown outside Ramsey during last night's (Wed 30)practice session.

Rob Hodson says he's "gutted . . . . rest easy", thoughts echoed by rally Driver David Higgins. Mark Higgins says Dan was an amazing talent who'd had the break he deserved to show his full potential and it was a terrible loss, whilst McAdoo Kawasaki said Dan was a "lovely guy" and sent deepest sympathies, ending their tweet with the words "cruel sport".

Johnny Rea sends thoughts and prayers to Dan's family and the Bennetts British Superbike Championship offers its sympathy and condolences to the family and friends of Dan Kneen following news of his fatal accident, whilst organisers of the North West 200 said they were shocked and saddened and sent thoughts to Dan's partner Leanne.

Sports presenter Dave Moore tweeted simply "No words"
