Rider given top-three finish after Michael Evans' disqualification
Paul Jordan has responded to the news today (7 June) he's now been promoted to a podium finish in this year's Supertwin TT Race 1 earlier this week.
Jordan - who finished fourth - has been moved into the top three after it was confirmed earlier that Michael Evans - who initially finished second - has now been disqualified from the race.
Evans' result has been struck off because his team - Dafabet Racing - failed to produce Evans' machine for a mandatory post-race technical inspection.
Jordan says whilst he's happy the result has been rectified he's disappointed that he was 'robbed of the chance' to celebrate with his team in the winners enclosure.
He does add he feels sorry for Michael Evans for having his result taken away from him 'due to no fault of his own.'
Paul's team, Jackson Racing, commented: "This change marks a fantastic achievement for Paul and the entire Jackson Racing team. Every lap of the Mountain Course demands precision, courage, and resilience—qualities Paul has shown in abundance throughout the event.
"Circumstances like these are never easy for any of the competitors involved, and we acknowledge the transparency and integrity shown by the race organisers in handling the situation.
"With this result, Paul Jordan is now officially a two-time TT podium finisher — a testament to his consistency and class on the roads.
"We’re proud to see our hard work rewarded with another place on the TT podium. Congratulations, Paul."
Following the announcement of the ruling by ACU Events Ltd., Evans responded on social media saying: "I am absolutely devastated as is the whole Dafabet Racing team with the news regarding my Isle of Man TT Races podium being taken away.
"I put my life on the line and rode as fast and as well as I could. Everyone could see how much it meant to me. As a rider I did not know anything was wrong with the bike or I would not have gone out on it.
"Please no messages as I will not be making any further comments on the matter at the moment. Heartbroken but I will move forward."
Dafabet Racing has also issued a statement which reads: "We accept the decision of the TT Race Organisation for what we can only describe as a mistake and oversight by the team in our preparations for the Supertwin Race.
"We wish to apologise to the Race Organisers, the fans, our fellow competitors, our sponsors, and – above else – to Michael for this error, for which the team take full responsibility, and we thank him for his professionalism through this process and throughout TT 2025."
