
Mark Cavendish has continued his winning streak at the Tour de Poitou-Charentes by winning stage two of the five-day race.
Having already won stage one on Tuesday, the 29-year-old sprinted to victory on Wednesday, with the Omega Pharma - Quick-Step rider beating Enrique Sanz into second place on the 183.6km stage.
It was Cavendish’s 11th win of the season and extended his overall lead at the tour to eight points from Sanz in second place.
