Vikings A are seeking to maintain their perfect start to the Manx mixed hockey season when they face another unbeaten team in the form of Ramsey A this weekend.

A solitary goal from Nathan Evans was enough for the Douglas club to see off Valkyrs A last week, while the northern outfit have clocked up successive draws in the Rossborough Premier League.

That included a 2-2 stalemate with Bacchas A on the opening weekend, before Ramsey drew 1-1 with Vikings B in their last outing.

Bacchas A are hoping to make it back-to-back wins when they travel west to face Valkyrs A this weekend, after Andy Whiting netted seven times in the Cronkbourne side's resounding 9-2 victory over Castletown Celts a week ago.

This weekend also provides a chance for Celts to get themselves off the bottom of the table and register their first points of the season, if they beat Vikings B in the top flight's other match.
