Union Mills are down

23 wins out of 24 for Geordies

Union Mills have been relegated from the Canada Life Premier League.

Their fate was confirmed after they went down 9-0 to Peel on Saturday.

Ashley Webster led the way with four goals in his final game before leaving the Island with Daniel Bell (two), Daniel Lace, Ryan Holdaway and an own goal completing a miserable afternoon for the Millers.

There’s still no stopping St George’s.

The league champions won 2-0 at Old Boys, courtesy of a goal in each half from Chris Bass and Jack McVey, to round off a league campaign which saw them win 23 of their 24 league games.

Steven Priestnal showed his undoubted class as St Mary’s bounced back from recent defeats with all four goals in a 4-0 success at Ramsey.

In JCK Division Two, Marown ran out 5-0 winners over Douglas and District, thanks to Ally Morris (two), Ashley Heginbotham (two) and a Stuart Morris penalty.
