Ladies win final game

Vagabonds slid to a 23-3 home defeat to Ruskin Park as their relegation battle continues in South Lancashire/Cheshire Division Two.

 

Aidan O’Shea kicked Vagas into an early 3-0 lead but, from that point onwards, it was all about the visitors.

 

Paul Keogh went in for their first which referee Daryn Thompson ruled a penalty try after Matt Rockwell’s tackle slipped too high.

 

Colin Bromilow converted for a 7-3 lead which they kept till half-time.

 

Bromilow added two further penalties in the second half and there were also tries from Matt Bartlett and Chris Dyson.

 

Vagabonds Ladies picked up a 17-7 win on the road at Altrincham Kersal in their final game in Womens NC North 1.

 

Michelle Croom picked up a try on her final appearance for Vagas and there were also tries from Corrina Daly and Alana Faragher, with Sammie Macdonald adding a conversion.
