Vagabonds lost 36-14 away at high flying Bowdon in South Lancashire/Cheshire Division One but gave a good account of themselves in a game in which they were always underdogs.
Akkie van der Berg and Steve Gawne both crossed for tries for Vagas and both were converted by Simon Heggs as Vagabonds caused some problems for second placed Bowdon.
In the end, however, Bowdon were just too strong.
