Vagabonds’ miserable away form continued with a 37-25 defeat away at Sale.
Vagas were very much in the hunt at half-time after tries from the unrelated Bryn and Leigh Kennaugh, plus a Jonny Beckley conversion, pulled back Sale’s early 10-0 lead.
Vagas got stuck in after the break and a penalty try, converted by Beckley, plus two penalties from his ever reliable boot, gave them a sniff of victory.
However, a late injury to playmaker Leigh Kennaugh disrupted Vagas’ flow and Sale ran away with the game towards the end.
