
Vagas Ladies’ opening match in Women’s Championship North Two ended in disappointment when they lost 22-10 at home to Altrincham Kersal.
Vagas led at the start after Rachel Beckley’s try.
The visitors hit back with tries from Leanne Cardis and Pam Reed and they led 10-5 at half-time.
In the second half, Reed nailed two quick tries, the latter converted by Julie Clegg-Havers and pushed the lead out to 22-5 before Lizzie Lennon grabbed a late consolation score for Vagabonds.
