Valkyrs B cause shock

It’s very much a two horse race in the PwC Mixed Premier Division.

Leaders Bacchas A saw off Celts with ease to remain two points clear at the top.

An Andy Whiting hat-trick, two from Sharon Pope and one apiece from Kim, Carney and Johnny Callow ensured the prolific Steve Ronan’s strike was a mere consolation in a 7-1 romp.

Meanwhile, Valkyrs A are hot on their heels after a comprehensive 6-2 victory against Vikings A.

Ollie Webster was the star with four and was joined on the scoresheet by strike partner Gareth Morris (two).

Conor Byrne netted both for Vikings.

Valkyrs B sealed the result of the day, thrashing Bacchas B 5-1.

Stephen Moore (two), Chris Thomas, Alice Henderson and Dave Hall caused a mighty shock for the rock bottom side as Bacchas – whose goal was scored by Chris Bass – were stunned.

Thomas Tsitsos (two) continued his fine scoring form as Ramsey A defeated Vikings B.

John Verrall added one and there was also an own goal in a 4-1 victory.

David Millward netted for Vikings B.
