
Valkyrs emerged as the victors from last night's Indoor Hockey finals night at the National Sports Centre, winning two of the three competitions.
All three matches were between Valkyrs and Vikings.
In the Mixed, Valkyrs overpowered their opponents to win 11-3. The scorers were Greg Miller (3), Andrea Kneen (4), Gareth Morris (3) and Chris Caldwell for the westerners, and Andy Harding (2) and Zoe Carney for Vikings.
Viikings Ladies gained a measure of revenge winning 4-0, thanks to strikes from Louise Slater, Kim Carney, Hayley Crowe and Zoe Carney.
But Valkyrs enjoyed the last laugh when they took the Men's competition. They beat Vikings 6-3 with Greg Miller (4), Russell Miller and Neil Jacobs on target. Paul Kelly (2) and Gerry Quinn netted for Vikings.
