Volleyball: 2022-23 Volleyball IoM League gets underway

Celton Douglas Dynamite take first win of new season

The 2022-23 Volleyball IoM League is now officially underway.

The first fixture of the new campaign took place on Friday (4 November) with Celton Douglas Dynamite taking on Onchan Oddballs.

Dynamite put down an early marker with a commanding display winning the contest 3-0 to be the first side to hold top spot in the standings.

The next game in the division will be between the two sides who haven't got underway yet with Notorious D.I.G taking on Northern Norsemen this Friday (11 November).

Volleyball Isle of Man has enjoyed a successful and busy last few months outside of the domestic calendar.

Both the men's and women's Island teams took part in the Volleyball England National Cup competitions during September.

Before that, back in May, Volleyball IoM hosted its first ever UK invitational tournament at the NSC where they faced off against teams from Warrington Wolves and Garstang Natives.
