FC Isle of Man aiming for third straight win on Saturday (16 March)

FC Isle of Man will be looking to make it three straight wins for only the third time this season when they face Cheadle Town in the NWCFL Premier Division at 1pm tomorrow (16 March).

The Ravens' confidence will have been boosted ahead of their trip to the Park Road Stadium after late wins over Longridge Town and West Didsbury & Chorlton in their last two outings.

But the Island side will be wary that the Manchester-based outfit narrowly beat them in the reverse fixture back in November.

FC Isle of Man Manager, Paul Jones says his side will have to stamp their authority on this contest and explained what lessons they've learned from that defeat to their opponents earlier in the campaign:

The latest duo of victories for FC Isle of Man keeps them among the in-form sides in the league currently - their run of four wins and two losses in their last six places them sixth out of 24 teams in the form book.

Whilst a late challenge on the promotion play-off positions seems highly unlikely at this point, the Ravens could make more progress up the table with maximum points on Saturday which could take them up as many as four places to ninth.

Meanwhile, although Cheadle Town reside four positions and ten points further down than FC Isle of Man in 17th, meetings so far between both sides are evenly-matched.

In the four encounters so far both have registered two wins each over the other - Cheadle Town claimed a 2-1 victory in the first meeting in NWCFL Division One South in October 2021 before victory at The Bowl in November last year.

For FC Isle of Man, they registered a 5-2 win over their opponents - also in the 21/22 season in the NWCFL Division One South in January 2022 - before beating Cheadle Town 2-0 in the First Division Challenge Cup two months later.

Cheadle Town vs FC Isle of Man takes place at the Park Road Stadium on Saturday, 16 March, kicking-off at 1pm.
