Weather concerns for North West 200

Organisers, riders, teams and fans will have fingers, and just about everything else crossed, hoping that the predicted bad weather today (Saturday) doesn't blow in and disrupt racing at the North West 200.

Roads around the Triangle course in Northern Ireland are due to close at 11am, and reopen at 6.30pm at the latest.

Veteran Michael Rutter is on pole for the two Superbike races, while Relentless by TAS Racing rider and local favourite Alastair Seeley is top of the timing sheets in the Superstock and Supersport.

Four Manx riders are competing, namely Conor Cummins, Si Fulton, Gavin Hunt and Dan Kneen and Manx Radio will have commentary on the Saturday Sport programmes from 12.30pm.

On last night's Friday Sport programme Manx Radio's Chris Kinley, who is over working for the BBC Radio team, said the weather had been causing problems all week:
