
Welshman Ian Lougher continued his fine record on the Billown Circuit with victory in the Steam Packet Lightweight TT on Saturday evening.
Lougher, the second most successful rider on the southern course, won the event more than eight seconds ahead of Ryan Farquhar with Chris Palmer in third place after a close contest.
Lougher, who had suffered a chain problem in the previous race, also broke the lap record twice in the process, setting a new lap record on lap 10 in a time of two minutes 29.530 seconds.
