Call for Island to embrace 'Trump effect'

A US business pundit says the Isle of Man must look at the global picture to safeguard its interests.

Tony Dwyer is a Chief Market Strategist at the New York branch of Canaccord Wealth, which has offices in Douglas.

He was visiting as part of a business networking event marking 100 days since Donald Trump entered the White House.

Mr Dwyer says Mr Trump's election is part of a global resistace against overregulation and political elitism - regardless of his headline-grabbing persona.
