Funding pressures on the health department are here to stay, according to its Chief Executive.

Malcolm Couch was speaking after news that an £11.1 million overspend on services last year will be formally investigated by the Public Accounts Committee.

Written evidence from the public and professinals is being taken by the Clerk of Tynwald's Office until the end of the week.

While Dr Couch says a proper review will have to wait until after the 2017 budget, it's important to consider the bigger picture.
