Chris Schofield and passenger Tom Dawkins airlifted to Noble's following incident at Bishopscourt
A sidecar competitor injured during last night's TT qualifying session is thanking fans for their kind words and support after he and his passenger were airlifted to hospital.
Chris Schofield and Tom Dawkins were both reported as conscious following the incident at Bishopscourt, which resulted in practice being red flagged shortly before 9pm.
In a post on Facebook, Schofield confirmed his passenger has already been discharged with cuts and bruises, describing Dawkins as 'walking wounded'.
His own injuries include two punctured lungs, a small laceration of the liver and concussion.
Schofield, who's a newcomer at this year's TT, says he remains in Noble's for observation, but hopes to be back in the paddock soon.
