The Super League Grand Final 2026 is nearly here and the Sky Sports Rugby League pundits have had their say on how they think the biggest day of the season will unfold...
Sam Tomkins' predictions...
Who will win the Super League Grand Final 2026?
It is so difficult to pick and it is very much a 50/50, but I will go with Warrington. After a pretty scrappy performance in the semi-final, I believe they'll be much improved for the final.

Why is this particular final so special?
The final is special because we have teams that finished third and fourth battling it out at Old Trafford. That has never been done before.
Plus we get a new name on the trophy!
Who will win the Rob Burrow award?
I think Matty Ashton will pick up the Rob Burrow award. I fancy him for a long-range try this week.
Jon Wilkin's predictions...
Who will win the Super League Grand Final 2026?
I think it will be Wakefield.
Why is this particular final so special?
It feels special because this time of year we have always had one of the big guns in the final.
The Wakefield story feels special, Warrington's pain and remarkable 70-plus year wait can be put to bed. Two great stories, one new name on the trophy.
Who will win the Rob Burrow award?
I think it will go to Wakefield's No 9 Tyson Smoothy.
Barrie McDermott's predictions...
Who will win the Super League Grand Final 2026?
I think this will be really close and there'll be plenty of nerves because neither club has won a Super League Grand Final.
It almost feels a shame one of them has to lose because seeing a new name on that trophy will be brilliant for the competition.
Why is this particular final so special?
Warrington are battle-hardened after a proper scrap at Headingley while Wakefield must be bouncing after what I'd call the biggest upset in Super League play-off history, beating the League Leaders 33-6 in their own backyard.
Getting to Old Trafford is the reward, but once you're there nobody remembers the runner-up. There's no nice way of losing a Grand Final.
Who will win the Rob Burrow award?
The obvious names for the Rob Burrow award are George Williams and Max Jowitt. Ben Currie will be right in the mix and don't rule out one of Wakefield's big boppers Caius Faatili or Caleb Hamlin-Uele causing some damage.
Josh Thewlis is another young man made for the big stage but I keep coming back to Jack Sinfield. Sometimes the biggest stage finds the youngest star. If I was putting a pound on anyone, my pound would be on Jack.
Playing at Old Trafford on the day his dad delivers the match ball as well... you couldn't write it. Although knowing the Sinfields, they probably could.
Megan Wellens' predictions...
Who will win the Super League Grand Final 2026?
I know this will be a very closely-matched final, but I have a feeling Wakefield finish off their fairytale and become the sixth-ever Super League winner. Just two seasons ago they were in the Championship, and now they are in the biggest match of them all.
Their pack has been unbelievable in 2026 and I think that will prove the difference. They have put their side on the front foot and made the space for their backs to shine. If they win that battle like they have done so many times, then I expect party time in Wakefield on Sunday when they return!
Why is this particular final so special?
Simply put, we have never quite had a final like this before. For the first time, there is no Wigan, Leeds or St Helens.
It is a seismic moment for the sport and the latest signal that clubs, with the right backing and motivation, can get to the top.
Warrington have been waiting 71 years for a trophy. Wakefield were relegated less than five years ago. These are two sides who know that history is on the line - one of them now needs to grasp it.
Who will win the Rob Burrow award?
I love the story of it so I think Jack Sinfield wins. Imagine the scenes - Sir Kevin Sinfield delivers the match ball as his son plays in his first Grand Final and then he wins the trophy named after the person who has inspired his father to raise millions for the MND community.
Sport has a funny way of doing things that are too beautiful to be believable.
Jenna Brooks' predictions...
Who will win the Super League Grand Final 2026?
Wakefield.
Why is this particular final so special?
History is guaranteed. Wakefield Trinity will play in their first Grand Final, while Warrington will be hoping to win the Super League title for the first time.
It's being played on the same weekend as the NRL Grand Final, which I'm a huge fan of. Also, Sir Kevin Sinfield will complete his latest 7 in 7 challenge at Old Trafford before kick-off, presenting the match ball. Also, the fact his son Jack is part of the Wakefield team. Either Max Jowitt or George Williams will get the fairy tale. Daryl Powell against his old club. So many stories! I could go on.
Who will win the Rob Burrow award?
Max Jowitt.
