On Air Night Flight | Midnight - 5:00am

Agenda, Monday, 29th October 2018

This week, critics have called on the Manx government to show leadership in tackling the issue of climate change. It comes following a United Nations report released by the Intergovernmental Pannell on Climate Change (IPCC), which called for 'immediate and drastic action' to cut carbon emissions. The Isle of Man Green Party, Manx Labour Party, and Friends of the Earth have all raised concerns that current efforts are falling far short of what's required. The Minister for Environment Food and Agriculture Geoffrey Boot insists steps are being taken - we speak to him about his department's priorities.

Are changes in public sector housing on the Isle of Man guiding us towards a fairer system? Shared lists and a new points system have been hailed as positive steps, but will rents continue to increase whilst wages growth remains low? The Department of Infrastructure's Housing member Julie Edge MHK gives us her view.

And the House of Keys meets again tomorrow (29 October) - we preview the sitting.
