Exploring Island Heritage - Tuesday, 25th September 2018

In this series of Exploring Island Heritage, we’ll be focusing on aspects of Manx heritage, how it’s preserved, and how you can explore it.

We’ll also hear about some of the collections which are on display, or held securely for the nation, and how the stories of those objects are documented.

This week, we speak to Curator of Social History Yvonne Cresswell about the National Art Collection, and find out more about some of the larger objects, which are not permanently on public display, from Assistant Curator for Manx National Heritage Hannah Murphy.

There are a number of opportunities to find out about the Island’s heritage during the first two weekends of October as part of this year’s Heritage Open Days – find out more on the Manx National Heritage website.
