Late Lunch listen again: Dr John in the house!

On the programme today, we were joined once again by resident Late Lunch GP Dr John, who did a wonderful job of breaking down the recent comprehensive review into local healthcare.

He explained - in layman's terms - what it means for residents, health workers and service users alike and what the landscape could look like over the next 5 to 10 years. Watch the video below for his explanation of the 8 main themes, or listen back to the full interview for the next 7 days here.

Also today - we heard more about the brilliant fundraising efforts of this week's Charity of the Week again - Breast Cancer Now, who are busy prepping for this year's Bra Dashes which happen this weekend in Douglas, Ramsey and Peel.  Visit their Events Page to find all the details

Ower Ben Hartley joined us to recommend some excellent entertainment both online and on the tellybox, with his regular 'Watch of the Weekend' feature. He brought us everything from Thatcher to Morecombe and Wise, and Killing Eve to Murder She Wrote.

We had a brilliant modern Soul Starter today from Leon Bridges and his single Bad Bad News from 2018

and the Jukebox was a surefire win for Retro again, as we pitted Peter Frampton's 'Show Me The Way' against Mike and the Mechanic's latest single 'What Would You Do'.

If you missed any part of today's programme you can listen again at this link for the next 7 days.

Tomorrow we're out and about for the second time this week as we're live from the Laxey Working Men's Institute - join us from 2pm!
