Late Lunch listen again: Howard's canes, Agony Al and Freddie's first play

On today's programme, we featured another episode in our Collectors Series, as our own Howard Caine revealed he's a hoarder and has a slight obsession with walking sticks... Watch the video below to see him revealing the hidden secret within one such cane and check the Facebook page for another hidden gem...

If you have a collection of something, or know someone else that does, email us latelunch@manxradio.com to tell us about it and we may feature it in a future programme;

Also today, we heard about a Dementia Awareness Conference being held next week at the Comis Hotel (formerly Mount Murray), organised by our Charity of the Week, the Alzheimer's Society Isle of Man on 25th June.

TO REGISTER click HERE  There is also a public information day on Wednesday 26th June at the same location, at which the Society itself, the memory clinic and the DHSC will be answering questions about support for people with dementia. Go along and find out how people affected by dementia can be supported on the island.

Also, Agony Al joined us once again to help out with a couple of listener problems; a rather sensitive question about office romance and another issue about toilet etiquette;

Our Soul Starter was a modern classic, 1983 hit 'Never Give Up on a Good Thing' by George Benson;

And the Jukebox revealed a wonder today, as the 'Recent' runaway winner was actually also a rediscovered 'Retro' - a previously unheard piano rehearsal version of 'Time Waits For No One' from the 1986 West End Musical 'Time', sung by the incomparable Freddie Mercury

If you missed any part of the programme today you can listen again at this link for the next 7 days.
