Late Lunch listen again: John Shimmin and Gill Bennett

We were joined in the studio by John Shimmin and Gill Bennett who came in to tell us about the new Health Checks at Home service which launches in August;

Providing very simple tools, it enables you to take regular simple readings of things like blood pressure and temperature, sending the readings to clinicians who can safely monitor and track trends, taking the hassle and stress out of monitoring your own health and that of loved ones. Find out more by calling 01624 662019 or visit the website.

We were set our new Moghrey Jedoonee Challenge, linked this week to Odin and his ravens;

The Soul Starter today was a 1968 classic from the rather mysterious Mary Jane Hooper, called the “Queen of New Orleans Funk” with "I've Got Reasons". We say mysterious because, not long after she released follow up single "I've Got What You Need" she effectively disappeared from the scene – but because she sounds a lot like singer Inez Cheatham, who worked with the same producer Eddie Bo, there are people who think they are the same person...

And our Jukebox today was a win for the Retro hit 'Video Killed the Radio Star' by Buggles, as band member & hugely influential Producer and songwriter Trevor Horn CBE celebrates his 70th birthday today.

If you missed any part of the programme you can listen again at this link for the next 7 days.
