Late Lunch listen again: Mike Kewley

Fresh from the success of his wellbeing festival Mindful Mann at the weekend, we caught up once again with Mike Kewley, for another spot of Mid-week mindfulness. We chatted about the spread and popularity of mindfulness on the Island and why that might be - and Mike further explained this week's practice. Titled 'Self Enquiry', the practice encourages us to drop back to a sense of spaciousness and intimacy and explore the sense of what it means to be You.

Find out more about Mike at his website here and you can subscribe to and download the latest podcast at this link

Also today, we asked which songs you love to hate? Is there a tune that, when it was released, you couldn't stand but now you love to hear? We had all sorts of suggestions from you, ranging from Cher's 'I Believe' to REM's 'Shiny Happy People'

The Soul Starter was the huge disco hit from 1977 for Thelma Houston with “Don't Leave Me This Way" - later covered by the Communards of course.

The Jukebox was a fight between Captain Sensible and Imelda May - and I think it's fair to say that most of us were pleased that Imelda won out this time!

If you missed any part of today's programme you can listen again at this link for the next 7 days.

Tomorrow, we'll be looking ahead to the Island's National Day and finding out about a new collection of stamps that explores the rebellious nature of the Manx people through history... Join us from 2pm!
