Every Kind of Festival

This week, we look ahead to this weekend’s Isle of Man Art Festival, we look back on the The Manx Music, Speech and Dance Festival and we have one last, rather adorable little snippet from Shennaghys Jiu.

If you’d like to come on the show and share something creative with us, drop me a line at Spotlight@manxradio.com and don’t forget you can listen again to the show as a podcast and on demand on our website.

Today, we are joined by Eve, Rosie and Myra, from the Isle of Man Art Festival Committee, who are here to tell us what we have to look forward to at the festival taking place all around the Island over the long weekend! Find out more on the Festival Website.

And congratulations to all who took part in the Guild last week! I hope you managed to catch some of Judith’s brilliant coverage, but now Howard Caine takes some time to reflect on the Festival with Guild Chairman Sarah Kelly and Vice Chairman Anne Clarke.

And we have one last snippet from Trad Festival Shennaghys Jiu! Cousins Joshua Clarkson and Aalish Kilgallon performed at this year’s opening ceremony:

Do join me again next Wednesday at 5:30 and in the meantime, keep in the loop through spotlight@manxradio.com.
