Here Comes the Sun

This week, we speak to Paul Ayres, conductor of the London City Chorus ahead of their visit at the end of the month, and Bruno Cavellec very kindly invites us into his studio to talk about his latest exhibition.

Give us a shout  if you’d like to share any creative events  and happenings with us, you can email me at Spotlight@manxradio.com or you can message the Manx Radio Facebook page.

The weekend of July the 27th sees a number of concerts take place, courtesy of the Lon Dhoo Male Voice Choir, when the London City Chorus make their first visit to the Island - we hear from their Conductor, Paul Ayres.

Following a critically acclaimed sell out run at The Edinburgh Fringe Festival The Carole King & James Taylor Story comes to the Peel Centenary Centre this weekend. Phoebe Katis and Dan Clews give a fascinating insight into the lives behind the music - Christy De Haven caught up with Dan on Women Today, where she had to ask Dan how he became James Taylor.

Now we’re Peel-bound to the sunshiney studio of Artist Bruno Cavellec, whose exhibition Dare the Moon runs until the end of this month at the Isle Gallery in Tynwald Mills.

And that’s all we have time for this week, join me again next Wednesday at 5:30pm for more creative items from around the island! In the meantime, listen again on demand, as a podcast or via the Manx Radio app.
