On Air The Morning Show Marc Tyley | 9:30am - Noon

NoGood Boyo

On this week’s programme, we look at Culture Vannin & the Arts Council’s new survey regarding life on the Island, we have part deux of our visit to the studio of artist Bruno Cavellec and we take a last glance at Yn Chruinnaght Celtic Gathering and then look ahead to the Festival Interceltique in Lorient with Welsh group NoGood Boyo.

If you want to come along and talk about what you do creatively, or if you know something you think we ought to know about, give me a shout on Spotlight@manxradio.com or you can message the Manx Radio Facebook page.

First today, we’re joined by Chairman of Culture Vannin, Chris Thomas MHK who invites us to share our thoughts about Island life by completing the recently issued Cultural Engagement Survey, discussing social activities and pursuits including sports and the arts.

You still have until August the 18th to complete the survey so make sure you don’t miss the opportunity for your voice to be heard, you never know, your view could make all the difference.

Bruno Cavellec kindly invited us into his studio a couple of weeks ago, we can now enjoy part two of our conversation.

Although the exhibition has now ended, there’s plenty more where that came from, keep listening for part three over the coming weeks.

Welsh group NoGood Boyo are our final guests, we caught up with them at Yn Chruinnaght Celtic Gathering, and although they’re a relatively new band, you may recognise a few of them!

I’ll be catching up with NoGood Boyo again at the Festival Interceltique in Lorient next week so do tune in to Mandate every day next week for reports straight from the festival, plus next Wednesday at half past five, tune in for Spotlight Live From Lorient with half an hour of festival highlights. Make sure you don’t miss a thing with the Manx Radio App and you can follow the Isle of Man’s activities at the festival on Facebook and Instagram.

Have a lovely creative week!
