AT YOUR SERVICE - 13 MARCH 2022
At Your Service
Sunday, March 13th, 2022 - 31 minutes
Ruth Keggin-Gell is the Manx Language Development Officer with Culture Vannin - dedicated to encouraging people to get interested and involved in wider use of the Manx language. When she thought of using Manx in our church services, she found an enthusiastic supporter in Pioneer Minister Rev'd Alex Brown.
On AT YOUR SERVICE today they discuss how this could be done, and Ruth has details of the half-day workshop she's leading - CREE AS ANNYM (Heart and Soul) using Manx for worship in easy and accessible ways. It's on Friday 25 March from 9:30am to 12:30pm with hot drinks served on arrival from 9am and an optional lunch (£7 per person) served at the end.
The venue is Thie Dy Vea (House of Life) Ballawattleworth House, Tynwald Road, Peel
More details of the workshop can be found at www.learnmanx.com

Another Ruth - Ruth Rice - who has herself come through a mental breakdown some 12 years ago - is the founder of the charity Renew Wellbeing - creating cafe-style spaces 'where it's OK to not be OK' and where mental wellbeing is a priority.
Ruth invites us to spring clean our own wellbeing during the weeks of Lent, and each week she'll choose a letter from her alphabet of mental health, from her new book - The A to Z of Wellbeing.
Today it's B for Breath ...
And Ruth has a video series, based on the book, which you can view on line at www.ruthricebooks.online
The videos are quite short, and a new one is posted each day.
There's some beautiful meditative music for peace, from Karl Jenkins, Manx music from Curjin Cooidjak, and a musical setting of a popular Bible verse from Ajax, Ontario.
Plus notice board news, as usual.
News for the notice board and suggestions for your favourite hymn choices are always welcome - email email@example.com
