Charity of the Week : Hospice at Home Charity hopes to raise £2m
X One to Three
Monday, 24 July 2023 - 8 minutes
How would you like to be in with a chance of driving an Aston Martin Vantage around the Island for a weekend - while also supporting the wonderful work carried out by Hospice At Home nurses?
The Diana Princess of Wales Hospice Care at Home Trust helps fund specialist nursing staff to provide respite care and end-of-life palliative care for Isle of Man residents with cancer or other life-limiting illnesses who choose to remain at home in their last days. Charity Trustees Richard Slee and Deb Shields tell us how they hope to raise £2m and also give us the lowdown on their exciting new Fundraiser involving the prestigious sports car and the ongoing Raad Ny Foillan Challenges, which are open to all.
The ‘hospice at home’ service is delivered by the wonderful hospice nurses provided by Hospice Isle of Man, and aims to provide high quality nursing care and support not only to the individual patient, but also to their family, friends and carers. Find out more on their website or by emailing Hospiceathomeiom@gmail.com
