Dementia Friends Sessions are awareness sessions that help the community and organisations understand dementia.

A Dementia Friends session is a 60-minute interactive session delivered by a trained
Alzheimer’s Society volunteer or staff member. During the session, participants learn the five
things we want everyone to know about dementia and explore simple ways to make
a difference. By the end of the session, you will be a Dementia Friend, and you’ll be asked to consider what you can do to support people affected by the condition.
