A talk by inspirational speaker, Andrew Johnson (MNH), about the wonderful collection of Viking and Celtic crosses, housed in Michael Parish Church. The crosses are internationally important, with intricate carvings of people, animals and interlacing patterns - with Runic and Ogham inscriptions.
It will also be an opportunity to see new information boards about the crosses, kindly funded by Manx National Heritage.
The talk will be followed by light refreshments, and an opportunity to ask Andrew about these amazing cross-slabs. Copies of a new guidebook about the crosses found in Michael Parish will be available to buy (£6). All proceeds are for Church funds.
The church has lots of space for you to stay safely apart from others, and it's fine to wear a mask if you wish.
