What's the best name for Loganair's puffin?

Winning suggestion will win a family trip to Shetland

If you think you have the best name suggestion for a puffin, there's a chance to win a competition where you can go and see the birds close up.

Loganair has launched a festive competition to name the name the star of its Christmas advert.

The theme is 'Together is the Greatest Gift' and follows a puffin family separated as they travel from Cornwall and London to Edinburgh, before finally being reunited in Shetland.

Director of marketing, communications and product at Loganair, Lyn MacDonald, says: “The response to The Nest has delivered a little bit of early festive magic, and in the spirit of continuing the feel-good factor, we wanted to celebrate further and invite people to get creative and help name this new adorable character."

From now until 8 December, people can visit Loganair’s website and submit their favourite name, along with a short explanation of why they think it best represents the character. 

The chosen entry, to be revealed in the new year, will win a family getaway for four to Shetland and Loganair’s newly named feathered character will feature in their onboard children’s offering, landing in January 2026.
