Firm turns page on new era in IOM
Ramsey-based software firm AFD Group has answered the prayers of a UK book publishing business, seeking to turn a new page.
AFD has acquired Lion Hudson - whose titles appear on the bookshelves of children worldwide - establishing it as an Isle of Man business, relocating some of its 15 staff from Oxford.
AFD boss David Dorricott has welcomed Lion Hudson to the Group's family of businesses, embracing Christian values.
It's a new dawn for the publisher, which hit difficulties three years ago, when risk-averse banks withdrew facilities, forcing the £4 million annual turnover outfit into administration.
Mr Dorricott says he's confident the firm will thrive here, after struggling financially:
