Employees encouraged to buy electric vehicles
Software firm AFD Group is embracing green-tech by introducing a tax-free electric car scheme for its employees.
The scheme makes use of the Manx government's initiative to encourage people to switch to electric vehicles by making them free from benefit in kind taxation.
Several members of the company - including Managing Director David Dorricott - are already using the all electric Nissan LEAF
Mr Dorricott says the government scheme was ahead of the curve, and he's delighted with the take-up he's seen in AFD already:
New child employment rules come into force
Tourist tax would be 'wrong move at the wrong time', says Douglas hotelier
Diesel price increases 'could put some taxi drivers out of business'
Interim census 'important for business as well as government'
