The medical company Panacea Pharma Projects has had an ‘ace’ idea to encourage more children to take up tennis.
The company’s donating £15,000 to Albany Tennis Club over the next three years to fund its mini-tennis programme.
The sport is played on smaller courts, using softer tennis balls and shorter racquets.
Albany has 65 children on its mini-tennis scheme, coached by Colin Hanbidge who spent a number of years coaching in Scotland – one of his pupils was tennis star Andy Murray.
