
It might have been a sunny month, but May saw more misery for Ronaldsway Airport with a massive drop in passengers compared to last year.
The number of people using the airport fell by 15 per cent on last year’s totals, which bosses blame on the Icelandic volcano.
Airport Director Ann Reynolds says although the ash cloud may be gone for now, the chaos caused at the time has made many think twice about flying.
She says the figures may well recover later in the year as confidence returns:
