Rafi Ashkenazi takes top job in Island-based gaming firm
A new chief executive has been appointed to Island-based gaming company Amaya's Rational Group.
Rafi Ashkenazi was Amaya's senior vice president of strategy, and has now been promoted to CEO of Rational Group, which operates PokerStars and the Full Tilt brands.
Rational Group operates a number of gaming companies, collectively making it the largest poker business in the world.
Chief Executive David Baazov said Mr Ashkenazi will combine his knowledge of corporate strategy with his operational expertise, making "him an ideal leader" for the group.
