Charity and business group 'share synergy'
An Island business organisation has offered a helping hand to a Manx charity which champions young entrepreneurs.
More than £2000 raised in one evening by the Isle of Man Chamber of Commerce has been donated to Junior Achievement, for its work fostering business skills in schools.
The cash was raised at Chamber's 62nd annual dinner at the Villa Marina by members, guests and local firms who donated raffle prizes.
The Chamber's Chief Operating Officer Rebecca George said there was a 'compelling synergy' between the two organisations, which both focused on developing a skilled and entrepreneurial workforce.
Junior Achievement offers a range of programmes for young people from primary school age upwards - with business mentors offering advice, from basic banking know-how to career pathways.
