Minister for Economic Development John Shimmin says he will be looking to support some of the Isle of Man's struggling industries in his new role.
Last week, the government revealed one of the Island's staple industries, banking, had shrunk drastically in the last couple of years, while e-Gaming was starting to take off.
Mr Shimmin says his years in the Council of Ministers will stand him in good stead as he starts work at the DED, and there are some particular areas he will be concentrating on:
Businesses invited to meeting to discuss pending Minimum Wage rise
Chamber: Positive Moneyval assessment vital for Island's future
Post Office to raise letter prices and bring in stamp expiry dates
Chamber urges voters to back candidates who will make Island a 'competitive international jurisdiction'
