Minister for Economic Development John Shimmin says he will be looking to support some of the Isle of Man's struggling industries in his new role.
Last week, the government revealed one of the Island's staple industries, banking, had shrunk drastically in the last couple of years, while e-Gaming was starting to take off.
Mr Shimmin says his years in the Council of Ministers will stand him in good stead as he starts work at the DED, and there are some particular areas he will be concentrating on:
Crown Dependencies to opt for coordinated approach to APP fraud framework
IOMPO will go from 'strength to strength' in coming years says outgoing chair
Island women asked to shape first State of Style report
Sharp rise in data breaches on Island, says Information Commissioner's Office
