Band's birthday trumpeted on board Ben
A musical serenade will greet passengers on this summer's round-island trip aboard Steam Packet vessel Ben-my-Chree - but they won't be sea shanties!
As part of its 80th birthday celebrations, Onchan Silver Band will perform a special concert during the cruise on 24 June.
It will include seven pieces of music specially commissioned for the anniversary - one for each kingdom seen from the Isle of Man.
The Packet says its four hour cruise will offer spectacular views of the Manx coastline, enjoyed with food and this year, live band entertainment.
As the vessel's bar is not licenced in Manx waters, passengers are invited to bring their own alcoholic drinks on board, to enjoy with their meal.
