Manx students will be packing their bags and heading for the hills thanks to a generous donation from a local financial services company.
Corporate and Trust Service Provider, ILS Fiduciaries, has given Queen Elizabeth II High School a variety of outdoor gear such as three-man tents, kayaking dry bags and rucksacks for their Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme.
Scheme leader at the school, Lesley Sleight, was delighted with the gift saying it couldn’t have come at a better time as there are 79 students taking part over the various Bronze, Silver and Gold levels, so the new equipment will get a lot of use.
