Developer favours luxury homes over flats
The former Grand Island Hotel in Ramsey could become an estate of luxury homes, if a planning application is successful.
The Northern Trust based in Lancashire, has applied for permission to build 11 large houses on the site, which was demolished in 2011.
The company says it’s moved away from the idea of building blocks of flats there after it was given permission for five apartment blocks in 2013.
