Equality legislation in the in-tray
Island legal firm Cains has appointed a new head of human resources to its leadership team.
Elaine Cordona's brief includes a review of Cains' employment documentation to ensure compliance with current legislation.
Her experience preparing a previous employer for the Equality Act in the UK in 2010 will be called on to steer the firm through equality legislation to be introduced in the Isle of Man over the next year.
Ms Cordona will also drive the People Plan for Cains, an in-house company culture project to ensure staff reach their potential.
Elaine Cordona moved to the Island in 2012 to head HR at Barclays Private Clients International, two years later she set up a commercial HR consultancy in Douglas.
Andrew Corlett Cains group chairman said: "Cain's growth in business complexity and staff numbers have made it very important that we have a head of HR with Elaine's experience and skill sets."
