The man who won the Island’s Poker Million tournament more than a decade ago has announced he’s not renewing his contract with Manx-based PokerStars.
John Duthie, who was a television producer until he won the million-pound prize at the Palace Hotel in 2000, says he’s also stepping down as Chief Executive Officer of the European Poker Tour.
He’s led the EPT to its current position as one of the world’s major poker series and part of the unofficial poker triple crown.
Mr Duthie says he wants to take on new challenges and cement new relationships.
