Around 1,000 students from the Island's five secondary schools will attend 'Employment and Skills 2010' at the Villa Marina later this month.
The annual gathering is a joint intitiative - organised by the departments of economic development, and education and children - and gives all those youngsters a great chance to talk to a wide range of employers, and find out what opportunities are available on the Island.
It also enables would-be employers to chat to potential members of staff, as Minister for Education and Children Eddie Teare explained to Graham Bell (play extended audio file):
'Employment and Skills 2010' is at the Villa Marina on Thursday, November 25, and the fact the event is now being held in November, rather than during the spring, means students will be able to talk to employers about the qualifications they would need to enter careers before making their crucial A-level choices.
