There are problems with Manx Telecom's mobile phone network this evening.
It's due to what the company calls 'unexpected congestion', caused by preparation work ahead of an upgrade scheduled for the early hours of tomorrow morning.
Engineers are working on the problem, and it should be resolved by around 5.30pm.
In the meantime the emergency services joint control room is advising people to make any 999 calls from a fixed line.
The 3G network is still operational and Manx Telecom is apologising for any inconvenience caused.
