Peel has switched over to a 'next generation' phone system.
Manx Telecom has upgraded every landline in the town to the Next Generation Network, a £25 million project which is being rolled out across the Island.
Laxey led the way last December, and Manx Telecom says in the latest upgrade 3,000 lines going through the Peel exchange were switched, over a period of three weeks.
May will see the Douglas Central, Douglas North and Castletown exchanges being switched to NGN.
