DQ brings e-training module to market
Island law firm DQ Advocates is offering practical help for Island employers keen to prepare for new equality legislation.
The Equality Act is due to receive Royal Assent in the summer, ushering in an era of changed rights and responsibilities.
These include rights of access by the public to goods and services, and comprehensive protection for workers from discrimination on a wide range of grounds.
Director at DQ Advocates Leanne McKeown has produced an online training module, designed to help employers and staff understand the scope of the law, and comply with it.
Equality and Diversity in the Isle of Man Workplace offers firms in-house, desk-based training, based on a specialist HR product endorsed by the Northern Ireland Equality Commission and many employers.
It measures each individual's progress, and scores and certificates those who complete the module.
